DC actuators can be useful where AC power does not exist and the application requires a light duty cycle. 

They are available in sizes from Eg50 through Eg301.  These actuators are longer than the standard actuators because the DC motor is longer.  Normally, Magnetek will use a standard AC three phase actuator instead of a DC actuator and convert the available DC power to AC using an inverter-based Braketronic controller.
