FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Menomonee Falls, WI—March 26, 2004—Magnetek
Power Control Systems today announced they are relocating their Telemotive Industrial Controls division of Glendale Heights, IL, to
their Menomonee Falls, WI facility. According to Peter McCormick,
President and General Manager of Magnetek Power Control Systems,
the move will allow Magnetek, which designs and manufactures power
control products and systems for many industries, to provide their
material handling customers with “one-stop-shopping” for all their
material handling applications. “Consolidation of our business
units serving the material handling industry to one U.S. location
allows us to more efficiently serve our customers’ needs and make
it easier for them to do business with us.” Magnetek acquired
Telemotive, the world leader in radio controls for the material
handling industry, in 2003.
All Telemotive functions, including manufacturing, sales, customer
service, product management, accounting, engineering and R&D are
moving to Menomonee Falls. Marketing and human resources were
consolidated there previously. “Key Telemotive personnel will be
moving to Menomonee Falls to continue the important roles they hold
in supporting the Telemotive business.” McCormick stated. “The
relocation of Telemotive will be done in phases over the next year
so that there is no impact to our customers.” Approximately 30 jobs
will be added at the Menomonee Falls facility. The company will
release details of the move as they evolve. Once the move is
completed, the Glendale Heights, Illinois facility will be closed.
“We believe we can more efficiently and effectively serve our
material handling customers by consolidating the efforts of our
business units at one central location, ” McCormick stated. “This
move will allow us to focus our joint efforts on R&D, technology
development, and new market opportunities.”
